One of the major highlights of the $370 million bond issue passed in 2008 was the promise that when completed, every attendance center would have a FEMA storm shelter to protect students and staff in the event of severe weather. At the conclusion of the 2014-15 school year, 91% of all current school sites will have completed storm shelters.†For more information on completed safe room projects, click here.
