NEW!!!! The Wichita Board of Education is studying data and gathering feedback from the community concerning the future of the bond construction at Southeast High School and the new southeast quadrant high school to be built at Pawnee and 127th Street East.
While there is sufficient bond funding to construct both facilities, dramatic cuts in education funding from the State of Kansas means that operating both the current school as well as the new school would be impossible without making cuts to other high schools. Cuts in state funding is the driving factor for changes to the remaining 2008 bond issue projects.
